The company uses a pyrolysis (thermolysis) process to recycle used tires and rubber waste.
Pyrolysis is the thermal decomposition of materials at elevated temperatures in an inert (oxigen free) atmosphere. It involves a change of chemical composition. The word is coined from the Greek-derived elements pyro "fire" and lysis "separating". Pyrolysis is most commonly used in the treatment of organic materials.
Recycling of used tires is carried out in a rotary kiln type, which is heated first with natural gas and then with pyrolysis gas generated during the recycling process.
Recycling of used tires by pyrolysis the following products are produced:
* Tire pyrolysis oil
* Carbon Black
* Steel scrap
* Pyrolysis gas
The first three products are intended as a useful materials and the pyrolysis gas is used to support the pyrolysis process.
